- Bouchard and his deputies have been sued in federal court over 60 times.
- A deputy pleaded guilty to 20 counts of possessing child pornography.
- A sergeant was convicted for possessing methamphetamine.
- A lieutenant videotaped himself having sex with women in an interrogation room.
- A nurse accused Bouchard of covering up bacterial infections at the county jail, and two deputies sued Bouchard over similar health-related concerns.
- A deputy and a sergeant participated in a party that featured a stripper performing simulated sex acts; a distinguished deputy later accused Bouchard and others of harassing and demoting him after he reported the party.
- A former female sergeant, who is suing Bouchard’s department for sexual discrimination, ran against him in 2008; she is accusing Bouchard of firing her over rumors of sexual misconduct.
